simple sheet weaves

Description

For the sake of reference, I'm documenting the various types of weaves I've used before. These weaves are fairly simple, and relatively quick to make.

In the middle is the standard chainmail weave, European 4-in-1. It's pretty much the default weave for most applications. The green is the neoprene rubber rings I wove into it for this particular project (a test of a skin-tight elbow joint).

At top is a weave called Trinity. It amounts to a European 3-in-1. It's very similar to 4-in-1, but tilted at an angle. This weave works best with chunkier rings (thicker wire compared to the diameter of the rings). Shown here, the left and right sides are tilted opposite each other, which lets them converge in a neat way.

At bottom is a European 6-in-1. It's a much thicker and more solid weave, but also much heavier. It takes a little longer to make than 4-in-1, but not too much. It would be my weave of choice for something that would have to withstand a lot of tension, or for something that would want to look solid.
